MLK Commemoration

Mr. Rudolph Wheeler to Speak at Benedict College's MLK Commemoration

Mr. Rudolph Wheeler, Counselor for the Upward Bound Program/Collaborator for the "Call Me MISTER" program at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, will be the keynote speaker at Benedict College's 2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration. The event will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in the Antisdel Chapel on the main campus, with musical selections by Benedict College Concert Choir.

The program, which is free and open to the public, will be a time to remember the fight for freedom, equality, and dignity of all people. The celebration is sponsored by the Religious Services Department. On this day, the College will pay tribute to the universal love, forgiveness, and non-violence that embodied the peaceful spirit of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
