What time can I expect my mail to be in my mail box for pick-up?
All letter mail is boxed by noon.

What time can I expect to pick up my packages? 
All packages may be picked up between 1 - 3pm.

How do I get a mailbox?
Upon moving into campus and receiving your clearing slip you may come to the Post Office and request a box be assigned to you.  Please bring your Benedict picture ID with you.

How do I get a key to my mailbox?
Your key will be given to you when your box is assigned.

What do I do if I lost my mailbox key?
If you lose your key, you may ask the Mail Center for a replacement (a $15 fee will apply).

What is my mailing address?
Be advised, your mailing address is different than your dorm address. The format for your mailing address is:

How can I pick up a package?
A package pick-up notice slip will be placed in your mail box to notify you that you have a package. In order to pick up a package you must have a notice slip. If the notice slip gets lost or misplaced, you must contact the Benedict Post Officer in person and we will locate the package.

I received an email notification from the company that my package has arrived, but I do not have a notice slip in my mailbox. Why?
We receive packages all hours of the day. The notice slips and mails are delivered to your mailbox between 1 - 3PM depending on the volume of mail and packages received and the time delivered to the Benedict Post Office. All packages delivered after 3PM will have notice slips delivered to student mailboxes the following day. If you have not received a notice slip after 1 day from your email notification, you may request the assistance of the Benedict Post Office staff to trace the mail/package.  Be advised, you will need to bring the carrier's name and tracking number to conduct the inquiry and get results.

I have a very busy schedule; can I have someone else pickup my package for me?
As a policy and for internal control purposes, the Benedict Post Office will not deliver/release any packages to anyone except the recipient of such package without exceptions.

What do I do if I lose my Benedict ID Card? Can I use another form of ID to pick up my mail?
A valid Benedict ID is the only accepted ID in the Benedict Post Office.

Can I buy stamps at the mailroom? 
Yes, stamps are available for purchase, cash only.

Can I send out packages at the mailroom?
Yes, all packages must be properly packaged and addressed and presented to the Benedict Post Office by 2:00 pm for mailing.  Again it is a cash only office, no debit, credit cards or checks are accepted.

What do I do if I receive someone else's mail?
If you receive improperly addressed mail in your mail box, do not open it. Return it to the Benedict Post Office staff.
