UNCF…health care navigator internship 2016-2017
Health Care Navigator (HCN) serves as a full service asset management and consulting company dedicated to providing investors, lenders and clients with a suite of services to enhance their position within the senior housing and post-acute industry segments.  HCN has a full staff of health care professionals and works with a variety of third-party vendors to accomplish their mission, which is to optimize the business to run as efficiently and effectively as possible.  We are offering Scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year and several Internship programs for the summer of 2016.  We have created these unique opportunities for aspiring professionals who would now like to leverage their education to gain further professional experience.  A transcript and essay is required.

This position requires a passion for people. You potentially will have the opportunity to work with our residents/patients, associates, vendors, families and even perhaps some involvement within the local communities. What specific skillset will you leverage to demonstrate your passion for this internship?

UNCF…WELLS FARGO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2015-2016
Historically the Wells Fargo Scholarship program has been a multi-year commitment, allowing UNCF the opportunity to support new students each year.  The program is restricted to full-time students in good academic standing at a UNCF member college or university.  Students must meet, at minimum, the criteria below:

  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
  • Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FASFA) from;
  • Students must have a demonstrated unmet, financial need as verifies by their college or university
  • Applicants must be enrolled, full-time at a UNCF member college or university.

UNCF…anthem corporate scholars program 2016-2017
The UNCF/Anthem Corporate Scholars Program is a nationwide workforce initiative that creates career opportunities for minority students. The program will provide scholarships up to $5,000 (based on need), paid for by the Anthem Foundation, for qualified students based on the eligibility requirements.

Students must be an underrepresented minority student that is a resident of or enrolled in a four-year accredited higher education institution in one of the following states: Woodland Hills and Thousand Oaks-California; Richmond and Virginia Beach- Virginia; Atlanta- Georgia; Indianapolis- Indiana; St. Louis- Missouri; Albany and NYC-New York, or Cincinnati and Mason- Ohio. A resume, transcript and essay is required.

UNCF…sar family emergency scholarship 2015-2016
The SAR Family Emergency Scholarship Program is open to junior and seniors at UNCF member schools who are currently expecting a financial crisis that is hindering Spring semester matriculation. Students must be actively and heavily involved in community service.
Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship will provide an award up to $5,000 depending on the financial need of the student as verified by the attending University or College. A transcript and essay is required.

Describe your need for an emergency last dollar scholarship. Please explain your current circumstances and how this emergency scholarship would assist you with completing your education. Please compose a well written, proofread and thoughtful essay between 500-600 words.

UNCF…KIA MOTORS AMERICA STEM/SUSTAINABILITY SCHOLARSHIP 2015-2016
UNCF has partnered with Kia Motors America to provide $5,000 renewable scholarship to selected STEM or Sustainability scholars. Eligibility requirements are:
* Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
* Must be a Junior and Senior at an eligible institution
* Majoring in: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Biomedical Science, Engineering, or sustainability/environmental science

A transcript and essay is required.

Please write a personal statement outlining your career aspiration or interest. Describe any obstacles you have faced and how you overcame them.

UNCF…BERBECO SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
The Berbeco Senior Fellowship Program will provide candidates with the opportunity to complete a structured study abroad experience that can impact their overall education. The primary goal of this program is to encourage applicants to complete study or research outside the United States during the Summer 2016 between their junior and senior years. This program can also be beneficial to those candidates, who are conducting preliminary research projects for their upcoming senior year. If a candidate is also focusing on a research project, the topic should be approved by one of the appropriate officials (advisor, faculty member and director of study abroad) at the candidates' respective UNCF institutions.  This fellowship requires a student application, recommendation and the following documents.

Personal Essay
Please develop a personal essay, which should include goal, achievement and any other relevant information.

Project Description
Please develop a project description that will detail the objectives and impact of the study abroad experience. In addition, those individuals pursing preliminary research should describe their topic and potential outcomes.

This scholarship is open to UNCF students who have permanent residence in the state of Oregon or Washington State. Students must have a 2.5 GPA with a financial need.  An essay is required.
