Benedict College hosts summer programs on campus to support the academic growth of elementary, middle and high school students. The diversity of special summer programs (offered by different units) at Benedict College reflects its commitment to providing a broad range of educational, recreational and cultural experiences to meet the needs of the community.

Special programs are being provided during the Summer 2014.  See following schedule and description of programs:


Summer Sports Fun Camp
(June 2nd thru July 18th, 2014)
7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday-Thursday)
(Children ages 5 - 15)

Registration is now being accepted for the Benedict College Summer Sports Fun Camp for youth ages 5-14.

The camp will feature six weeks of fun and exciting events, swimming, field trips, and instruction in various sports from Benedict College coaches and staff. Each week will focus on a different sport, including swimming, golf, tennis, football, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading.

Registration is $115, and the camp fee is $85 per week, or $150 for an individual camp. The fee includes snacks and lunch each day.

Language Arts Camp
(June 9th thru July 17th, 2014)
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (M-Th)
(Children ages 5 - 13)

Language Arts Camp is a six-week summer enrichment program for elementary and middle school children, grades K-8.  The program provides enrichment in reading, writing, math, science, and the performing arts .  Additionally, the program includes afternoon recreational activities such as arts and crafts, life skills, movies, basketball and other gym activities.  The children will have the opportunity to participate in the Mr./Miss Language Arts Camp pageant, and the development of a camp yearbook.  A culminating program exhibiting acquired skills from each educational component, will be presented at the end of camp.  Classroom lessons will be structured to provide students with the concepts and skills needed to improve their scores on examinations such as the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS.).

Fees: The cost of camp is $480.00 per child (lunch included). There is a 10% discount for two or more children within the same family.  A $50.00 non-refundable application fee must be paid (as soon as possible) to the Business Office to assure your child a place in the program.  (If all slots are full, your check will be refunded.)  The $50.00 application fee will be deducted from the total cost of the program.
