Mr. James Littles '54

Mr. James F. Littles graduated from Benedict College in 1954. Upon graduation, Mr. Littles joined the United States Army where he spent two years, eleven months and eight days. In 1957, Mr. Littles moved to Florence, SC to pursue his career as a math teacher. During his tenure, he served as a baseball coach for three years, as a football coach for two years, as the Assistant Principal for ten years at Wilson High School in Florence, SC, and he served at West Florence High School in an administrator's capacity.

Mr. Littles is a member at the Trinity Baptist Church in Florence, SC where he has attended faithfully since 1963. He served on the Trustee Board at Trinity Baptist Church for a total of twelve years. Mr. Littles retired from the public school system in 1985, and served as a School Board Member for a total of four years. Since his retirement, Mr. Littles was offered the opportunity to return to work with the school district, and is currently working on his third year of teaching. In 2000, Chi Iota, Chapter of Omega Psi Phi awarded Mr. Littles the Omega Man of the Year Award.

Mr. Littles has been married to Ella F. Littles for a total of 50 years. He is the father of one son, Dr. James F. Little, Jr. He is the grandfather of two wonderful granddaughters, Jessica and Elena Littles.
