Located within the Access/Research Services Department on the main floor of the Library, the ERC is a center of computer workstations that provide access to a wide range of electronic resources (including research databases, e-journals and online dictionaries & encyclopedias) via the Benedict College network and the Internet. |

EBSCO Online is a World Wide Web-based service that provides a single source for all aspects of a comprehensive electronic journal collection. Users can go to one URL and use one search engine to search across journal content from a variety of publishers. From this page, only the available online version of printed journals (hardcopy) subscribed by the BC Library are accessible.

Collegiate DISCUS is coordinated by PASCAL in cooperation with its members, the South Carolina State Library and other partners. Collegiate DISCUS is funded by the South Carolina General Assembly through an appropriation to the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.

With its large coverage of peer-reviewed journals, EBSCOHost (Academic Search Elite) offers critical information from leaders in many disciplines. The diverse content available will assist students in performing a more thorough investigation of their research topics. It is a valuable resource for the library, supporting core curriculum, degree requirements and elective classes. This scholarly collection includes embedded images and provides journal coverage for most academic areas of study-including biological sciences, economics, communications, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts and literature, medical sciences and women's studies.
