"Sweet Sensation" Dance Squad Information

We’d like to thank you for being interested in the Marching Tiger Band of Distinction's "Sweet Sensation" dance squad. This group of beautiful, intelligent, multi-talented, and highly energetic young ladies represent the Marching Tiger Band of Distinction and Benedict College of Columbia, South Carolina. The Coordinator/Choreographer is Mr. Bernard Fields. Mr. Fields has been dancing for over 20 years and marched in the percussion section from 2002-2007. It's going to take hard work, dedication, and discipline to be a "Sweet Sensation" dancer. Please be reminded that this is an audition and the young ladies selected will be notified by mail / phone.

Select a two-piece audition outfit in a style and color that best complement your skin tone and figure. Wear matte, sheer to waist tights and/or hose that match your skin tone and wear shoes suitable for dance. Please wear a warm-up suit over audition attire during the down time. Jewelry can be distracting so limit to small on the lobe earrings, and no rings, chains, etc. Most important: Be sure to practice dancing in your complete outfit before auditions to make sure everything fits properly and you are comfortable. Contestants will have to present Splits, Rolls, Back-bends, Cartwheels and Round-offs during the first round of tryouts. Contestants will have to perform a short routine (up-tempo) that will be taught by Mr. Fields. You will be judged on TECHNIQUE, PHYSICAL FITNESS, ENERGY, and PRESENTATION!
