The Child Development Center will close on November 1, 2017.

"The final determination for closure was compelled by a number of factors largely precipitated by the fiscal impact of the CDC. The CDC was established as a service to the community and reached the highest professional standards as a nationally accredited program by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for the first time in 1995. At the time of our first recognition, Benedict's program was one of only 129 child development centers statewide to hold such a noteworthy honor."
