HBCU-UP Implementation Project

Pre-Freshman Bridge Academy

The bridge academy will consist of a four week summer program for incoming freshman STEM students. The students will be recruited locally through Richland School District One, Fairfield County School District and other local School Districts. In addition, a statewide effort is underway through the assistance of Benedict College Admissions Office and the First Year Experience Program. Curriculum will include lectures, computer simulation and support, lab demonstration and hands-on activities, and intensive engagement of faculty and students in small groups.
