Officers 2004-06

Mid Western Region Vice President

bc_naa-pelham_jones01.jpgPelham Jones entered Benedict College where he pursued an undergraduate degree in Social Studies until 1951 when he entered the US Navy. In September 1958, he returned and earned a BA in 1959. He received his Master of Social Work from Wayne State University and has pursued post graduate training at University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Now retired, he was a professional Social Worker with the Wayne County Health Department and also the State of Michigan for more than 38 years. He resides in Detroit, MI.

Civic & Community Activities: He has volunteered his services with several civic organizations, local block clubs and for 35 years as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America. He is active member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Detroit.

Alumni and Student Involvement: He is presently active with the Detroit Alumni Club where he has served in several offices and on various committees. While a student at Benedict, he was active with the Better Speech Club, the College Choir and the Crescent Club of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
