National Academic Rankings:
- Benedict College is ranked 2nd in the nation in producing African American Physics majors, as reported by the Education and Employment statistic Division of the American Institute of Physics.
- Benedict College became only the 2nd HBCU in the nation and the 1st in South Carolina to receive national accreditation for its Environmental Health Program (EHAC)
- The Benedict College Debate Team won 1st Place at the National Association of African-Americans Honors Program Conference, October 2007.
- Benedict has been ranked 13th in granting degrees in Physical Sciences, 41st in granting degrees in Computer and Information Sciences 2007 and 42nd in granting degrees in Biology Biomedical Sciences out of 4,000 colleges across the nation by Diverse Magazine.
