Time Warner Telecom Delivers Secure, Converged IP and Ethernet Connectivity to Benedict College

COLUMBIA, S.C. - August 29, 2006 - Time Warner Telecom Inc. (NASDAQ: TWTC), a leading provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses, today announced a multi- year contract to provide Benedict College with a full suite of communications solutions including metro Ethernet, Ethernet Internet Services (EIS) and voice services. Time Warner Telecom will complete installation this month, at the start of the 2006 school year.

"In a few short weeks, Benedict College will be one of only a handful of colleges in the United States with complete IP connectivity, which will not only benefit our existing students via new programs like distance learning, but will also help us attract new ones," said Robert Squirewell, director of Management Information Systems for Benedict College. Time Warner Telecom is delivering metro Ethernet services that will connect all three of the college's city-wide locations. Time Warner Telecom's connectivity solutions will greatly improve the efficiency of Benedict College's in-house capability to provide network flexibility and reliability as well as the ability to easily scale its network based on student growth.

Additionally, Time Warner Telecom is providing Benedict College with a 400 percent increase in speed and significantly improved reliability of their Internet access as well as security services to complement its Internet connection. By deploying IP based communications services, Benedict College will experience an immediate return on its investment. With this converged network, the college predicts it will reduce its yearly voice and data expense by about a fifth of what it spends today.
