Where is Tenikka Smith, former Miss Benedict College 2002-2003?

Tenikka Smith joined the award-winning Eyewitness News Everywhere family as a reporter in July 2006.
Before her move to Memphis, Tenikka worked as a reporter and anchor with WMAZ-TV in Macon, Georgia.
Tenikka earned her Master of Journalism in Broadcast News from the University of Maryland at College Park and her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. She was named Miss Benedict College 2002-2003.
Tenikka's media research has been published in the Journal of Health Communication and recognized by the American Academy of Advertising. Tenikka also contributed an article to the New York Times.
Her long term goals include earning her Doctorate in Media Studies and African American History.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and mentoring young people.
Tenikka is a native of the small town of Whitakers, North Carolina.
She was the morning anchor/reporter on WMAZ-TV 13 in Macon, GA. This Summa Cum Laude 2003 communications graduate of the Benedict College also received a master's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
Benedict College prepared this young reporter for the daily grind of gathering, investigating and reporting information on WMAZ's Emmy award-winning daily newscasts. Smith presently anchors both the daily two-hour morning newscast and a 30-minute noon day show. Her responsibilities include shooting and editing video footage and writing for the live broadcast and the on-line reports.
