THIS MANUAL DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.  BENEDICT COLLEGE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE, ALTER AND AMEND THE CONTENTS OF THIS MANUAL AT ANY TIME.

Important Notice

Many of Benedict College's employees are employed pursuant to written annual contracts of employment.  As to those employees the terms of the contract govern.  As to those employees without contracts, Benedict College is an at-will employer.  This means that employees are free to terminate the employment relationship at any time for no reason, with or without notice or cause.  Benedict College retains the same right.

The contents of this policy and procedures manual are presented only as guidelines of some of the current policies and procedures of Benedict College.  Many of the provisions of this manual are summaries of federal and state laws that change from time to time.  Furthermore, Benedict College finds it necessary to alter and update its rules and procedures from time to time as necessary.  Therefore, the provisions of this manual and Benedict colleges personnel policies are subject to change by Benedict College at any time.  NOTHING IN THIS MANUAL OR ANY OF BENEDICT COLLEGE'S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES SHALL BE DEEMED TO CONSTITUTE A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT OR TO CREATE CONTRACTUAL RIGHTS BETWEEN BENEDICT COLLEGE AND ANY EMPLOYEE.  NO ORAL OR WRITTEN PROMISES OR REPRESENTATIONS BY A MANAGER, SUPERVISOR, DEAN, OR DEPARTMENT HEAD OR OTHER SUPERVISOR EMPLOYEE CAN ALTER ANY CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT OR CREATE AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR ANY SPECIFIED LENGTH OF TIME.  ONLY THE PRESIDENT OF BENEDICT COLLEGE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS OF EMPLOYMENT WITH ANY EMPLOYEE, AND SUCH CONTRACTS MUST BE IN WRITING AND SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE EMPLOYEE.
