POSITION: Dean of the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
JOB SALARY: Commensurate with experience and credentials

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee three departments: Biology Chemistry and Environmental Health Science; Mathematics and Computer Science; and Physics and Engineering.  The selected Dean must be an innovative and visionary leader committed to excellence in teaching in a student-centered community learning environment, research, and recruitment of faculty and staff.  Expected to be strong academic leader with a commitment to excellence and effective communication with all sectors of the College community. Possess significant experience in planning, budgeting and a demonstrated history of success in obtaining grant funding.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Requires an earned doctorate from an accredited university in one of the science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics disciplines and have a record of effective academic leadership as a dean, assistant dean, chair, or equivalent administrative position; a successful record of teaching, and research and scholarly accomplishments to justify appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor.
