The SE Policy MEANS
- A quality academic process with increased student learning
- Positive work ethics, motivation, attitudes, study habits, and responsibility
- Students who earn an "A" in effort are more likely to learn
- Students can earn an A, B, C, D, or F grade
- It is more difficult to earn a satisfactory grade
- An incentive is provided for students to put forth maximum effort in learning
- Only Freshmen receive a warranty to receive a satisfactory grade, if they make an "A" in effort
- No student could earn a degree solely because of effort
- A potential increase in the value of the Benedict College degree and the employability of graduates
- An enhancement of academic freedom; Faculty determine how effort is defined
- Greater faculty efforts and more serious evaluation and instructional techniques

- A watered-down academic process with decreased learning
- Poor work ethics, motivation, attitudes, study habits and responsibility
- Students who earn an "A" in effort are least likely to learn
- Students automatically earn a grade of "C"
- Satisfactory grades are easier to earn
- An incentive is provided for students who do not earn their grade
- There is a guarantee for satisfactory grades after the freshman year
- The Benedict College Degree will be awarded to unqualified students
- A devalued Benedict College degree or the reduced employability of graduates
- A diminishing of academic freedom; The administration determines how effort is defined
- Lessened faculty efforts and less serious evaluation and instructional techniques
